The kids fishing event was held in Green River on Sept. 13. Brent Stettler from the Division of Wildlife Resources said, “We had 35 people who came. Unfortunately, recent rains had turned the pond into the color and texture of chocolate milk.
” Even though 750, 8-inch rainbow trout had been planted during the week, the kids only caught two of them.
“The kids also caught one catfish as well as a sunfish. We had a raffle for new fishing poles at the end of the event. About half of all kids present won a new rod and reel, ” said Stettler.
