The Lady Spartan volleyball team beat North Sevier at home last week to stay in the fight for the region 15 volleyball title this season. Although it took five sets to win the match, a win is still a win.
Emery will travel to Blanding this Tuesday night to face the region 15 first place team, the San Juan Broncos. San Juan has one loss this region season, an earlier loss to the Spartans while the Spartans have two losses to South Sevier. South Sevier with just a single loss to San Juan will also play the Broncos this week. South Sevier will also face Grand while San Juan will also face North Sevier in closing out the region season. There are lots of possibilities this week.
The 2-A Utah State volleyball tournament will start Wednesday, October 29 and will be played at Utah Valley University. Region 15 will match up in the first round with region 13 this season. Regions 13 and 15 are the two best regions in 2-A volleyball so a good seeding in the tournament will really help in the final meet of the season. Emery will also host Wasatch Academy in their final home game this Thursday night at the Spartan Center to close out the regular season.
