HELPER-Mary Busato Lupo, age 94, passed away Nov. 19, 2014 at Castleview Hospital in Price.
She was born Feb. 3, 1920 in Dawson, New Mexico to Jack and Lena Rodeghiero Busato.
Married her sweetheart, Santo John Lupo, December 12, 1938 in Price, Utah; Santo preceded her in death on April 23, 1999.
Mary was a longtime resident of Carbon County who enjoyed all the outdoors had to offer. There wasn’t a weekend that went by that she wasn’t camping or fishing with Santo and her fishing buddies. She never let any grass grow under her feet and if you wanted to keep up with her, you better be ready. Mary enjoyed cooking, baking, cleaning in or around her home, and visiting with friends. She lived for her family and enjoyed every moment that she shared with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mary was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the 8 and 40 where she was blessed with many longtime friends. She will be dearly missed by her family and a community of friends. Survived by her sons, Jack Lupo, Santo (Kathy) Lupo, both of Helper; grandchildren, Cody (Valerie) Lupo, Brandy (Shaun) Flores, Mario Lupo, all of Price, Andrea Lupo, Helper; great-grandchildren, Makayla, Jordan, Rylan, Macie, Aleck, Preslee, Dallas, Gabriella and Jace.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband, Santo; daughter, Yvonne; sister, Enis Limone; and brother, Jackie Busato.
Funeral service, Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2014, 11 a.m., Mitchell Funeral Home (233 East Main Street) in Price. Family will receive friends at Mitchell’s Tuesday evening from 6-7 p.m. and Wednesday one hour prior to service. Interment, Mt. View Cemetery, Helper.
