Our beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away Nov. 28, 2014 at her home in Cleveland after a long hard battle with cancer.
She was born July 7, 1952 in Price, Utah to Clarence and Nellie Smith. She married Rudy Farnsworth in 1968 and had two daughters Kristina Lynn and Jennifer Ann, they later divorced and she married William Patrick Leverton on March 4, 1977 in Richfield Utah; they had one son William Edward Holly Leverton.
She was a member of the L.D.S Church and attended school in Carbon County. She lived most of her life in Carbon or Emery County, though she spent the last few years in Hurricane Utah to be closer to her children and grandsons.
She was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother and she made our house a home. She was a wonderful cook and was known for her special enchiladas. She was always so kind and caring, especially to those who had so little. She had a true gift of poetry and made special poems for friends and loved ones. Her poems of love, loss and heartache painted a picture from life’s other side, she was an artist with words and will always be remembered as one.
Carol has endured much heartache in her life and was the last of nine brothers and sisters, all of whom she loved very dearly. She has seen them all pass from this world along with her dear mother and dad. We love you Mom, and we know you are safe in their loving arms once more.
She is survived by her husband William P. Leverton of Cleveland; three children Kristina Ryder, Hurricane; Jennifer (Greg) Marshall, New Harmony; William E.H Leverton, Cleveland. She was “Mema” to four grandsons, Grady and Dean Marshall, William Leverton, and Austin Snyder.
She is preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, three sisters, and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Dr. Daniel Monahan for the great care he provided to our Mother, and the CNS Hospice team for their care.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2014 at 1 p.m. at the Heritage Funeral Home Chapel, 620 N. Main, Huntington. The family will greet friends an hour prior to the services. Burial will follow in the Cliffview Cemetery, Price, Utah under the entrusted care of Heritage Funeral Home. Friends may sign the guest book at heritagefuneralhomeutah.com.
