The Sinbad Desert Amateur Radio Club held their annual Prime Rib Christmas party and dinner at the Sheriffs Department Recreation Building December 4, 2014.
The prime rib was juicy and tender and the dinner was excellent with a variety of other foods such as salads, potatoes, sweet potatoes, cake and pecan pie to partake of.
At this meeting a list of radio frequencies used by amateur radio operators were given out. Maintenance of radio repeaters at many locations on mountaintops in Utah was discussed. The upcoming Ham Radio Fest in July was mentioned with a request for volunteers to help with some of the training sessions.
The SDARC web site has been up dated and can be found at www.sdarc.us or yahoo group: sdarc.
New classes for anyone wanting to upgrade their radio license or learn about becoming a ham radio operator will be started in Price on January 7, 2014.
The next meeting will be held January 8, 2014 at Los 2 Amigos at 6 p.m.
