OGDEN/ELMO-Our beloved father, grandfather and brother, Clinton Ferrell Bentley, age 70, passed away suddenly Dec. 30, 2014 in Elmo, Utah.
He was born July 7, 1944 in Price, Utah to Ferrell and Maxine Elnora Kirby Bentley.
Clinton lived a very fun-filled and adventurous life which he shared with his family and many dear friends. He married Sarah Welsh, Jolene Garrett, Connie Perez and Maggie Westlake all of which ended in divorce. He shared many special years with Maggie and the family is grateful for the time they shared together.
Clinton was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He honorably served his country in US Army. Clinton was a former longtime resident of Ogden and machinist at Hill Air Force Base. After completing his Bachelors of Engineering from Weber State he went to work for McDonald Douglas then Boeing as an aircraft engineer. Clinton also worked for Thiokol for a short time and eventually returned to Hill Air Force Base where he completed his career and retired in 2001.
Clinton loved to fish, camp, ride ATV’s and boating. He was an avid hunter who spent much of his life in the mountains where he was the happiest. When he was home, he enjoyed tinkering in the shop and working on his vintage cars. Clinton loved spending time with his family, daughters and grandchildren. The past few years, he enjoyed building and riding his Harley Trike and being involved in the Northern Utah Harley Owners Group.
Clinton touched the lives of many and he leaves behind a legacy that will be cherished for generations.
Survived his daughters, Kristine Bentley, Layton, Kelly (Ben) Boyer, West Haven, Utah, Heidi (Shayne) Eldridge, Hyrum, Utah; three sisters and two brothers, Jolene (Marvin) Safley, Price, Juanita (George) Anderson, Santaquin, Charles (Jenine) Bentley, Elmo, Jeannette (Alan) Tweddell, Hotchkiss, Colo., Danny (Glenny) Bentley, Vernal; eight grandchildren, Jared, Travis, Brandon, Kami, Chyanne, Cody, Riley and Rhendon; special great-granddaughter, Ella; seven additional great-grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents, brother, Clemont; and nephews Alan Safley and Justin Bentley.
Funeral service was held, Monday, Jan. 5, 2015, 11 a.m., Mitchell Funeral Home (233 East Main Street) in Price, Utah. Family received friends at Mitchell’s Sunday from 6-7 p.m. and Monday one hour prior to service. Interment, Cliffview Cemetery, Price. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories of Clinton at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
