PRICE- Our loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Christa Kaminski, 80, passed away Jan. 8, 2015 at home after a three week battle with health problems.
She was born April 9, 1934 in Ludwigslust, Germany to Walter and Lucie Beckmann Seyer. On Nov. 19, 1957, she married Egon E. Kaminski in Cologne, Germany and shortly thereafter she came to the United States. While residing in Germany, Christa attended a Commercial Art Trade School.
After sharing 44 years of marriage, Egon passed away on Sept. 3, 2001.
Christa was a longtime resident of Price and a member of Ascension St. Matthews Church. She was a tireless worker who warmed the hearts of many while working in advertising at the Sun Advocate and Emery County Progress for 40 plus years. She had many dear friends in the downtown community and for years she owned and operated her own business. Christa enjoyed putting her artistic talents to use by painting and designing posters and banners, and decorating many local storefront windows.
Christa was a member and co-founder of the “German Club” where she enjoyed the wonderful relationships that she shared with her lady friends. This was a very important part of her life and the memories they shared will be cherished forever. She was an excellent cook who loved baking and making special birthday cakes for her family and friends. Her children were her number one priority and the grandkids were her pride and joy. Christa will be remembered for her elegant style and dedication to others.
