"Joseph Siaperas"

By By

CROWN KING, ARIZ./ GREEN RIVER- Joseph Pete Siaperas, 42, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 25, 2014 in Crown King, Ariz.
Joe was born May 17, 1972 in Price, Utah to Pete Siaperas and Tawni Curtis. He was the oldest of three children. Joe’s family moved to Dillon, Montana in 1981 when he was nine. His love for Montana became as great as his life-long love for baseball. He attended Dillon schools and graduated from Beaverhead County High School in 1990. His participation in wrestling and football kept his mind occupied, his body strong, and his heart pumping and primed for baseball season.
Outside of sports, Joe acquired the family-driven love of old Ford trucks. He cherished his truck collection as much as his never-ending baseball card collection. Joe’s hard work, determination, and continuous desire to strive through life, shined through his heart-melting smile. Whether he was working on a drilling rig, dredging for gold, playing golf, or running his business, he did it with passion, pride, and devotion. Some of his most treasured times were spent at his grandfather’s mine in Montana.
Joe met Tracey Darr in 1993 and they married in 2008. They made their home in Green River, Utah where they raised their two children, Anastasia and Pete, and Tracey’s daughter, Brianna. Together, they owned and operated The Fairway Club from 2003-2010. Joe charmed many of the club’s patrons with his charismatic personality. His competitive determination to excel lived on and was demonstrated through a game of pool, darts, or a surprisingly spot-on karaoke rendition of “Rock And Roll All Nite” by his favorite band, KISS.
Joe is survived by: wife, Tracey Siaperas, daughter, Anastasia Siaperas, and son, Pete Siaperas, all of Holladay, Utah; step-daughter, Brianna Gomez, Portland, Oregon; parents, Pete Siaperas and Tawni Curtis, Green River, Utah; sister, Cameo Siaperas, East Carbon, Utah; brother, Theodore Pete Siaperas, Green River, Utah; paternal grandmother, Helen Thayn Siaperas, Price, Utah; two nieces; one nephew and one nephew-in-law; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by: maternal grandparents, Russell and Nola Curtis, and paternal grandfather, Theodore Pete Siaperas.
We love you Joe and we know that you’ve made it to The Big League. Until we meet again, your spirit lives on in our own Field of Dreams.
