Emery, Utah – Ceylon B. Jacobsen, age 72, passed away on April 12, 2015 in Ferron, Utah. He was born on July 29, 1942 in Emery, Utah to Arnold L. Jacobsen and Martha Maria Jones of Emery, Utah. He married Sharon Anne Jacobsen March 14, 1970. Ceylon was a loving husband, father, brother, father-in-law, grandfather and great-grandfather. He loved horse riding and telling people, “Don’t take any wooden nickels.”
Dad was a proud Vietnam Veteran who served his country honorably. He is survived by his children: Evelyn (Brad) Shell of Arizona; Cathy (Preston) C. Anderson of Emery, Utah; Annette (Glen) Holt of Augusta, Ga.; and Michelle (Phil) Todd of West Valley, Utah; two siblings Cecil (Florence) E. Jacobsen and Loraine (Steve) Drummond; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, mother, father, sisters Arminta (Jim) Hewitt and Stella McKinney, and brother Clinton Jacobsen.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at 1 p.m. at the Emery Ward Chapel with a viewing one hour prior. Interment will be in the Emery Cemetery. Services are in the care of Fausett Mortuary and friends may visit and sign the online guestbook at www.fausettmortuary.com.
