US-6; Passing Lanes
*US-6 Passing Lanes Project Underway!*
US-6 is undergoing safety improvements to add passing lanes from MP 273 to MP 290. This project will improve safety and re-surface the roadway.
Motorists will experience occasional single lane restrictions and lane shifts.
LANE WIDTHS will be reduced to 11′ Monday-Thursday. Wide loads are encouraged to travel through the area on Friday-Sunday.
Work will take place Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for approximately 60 days.
Motorists will encounter lane closures and pilot car operations. Also there will be approximately 600 ft of road base that motorists will need to traverse.
