It was the first annual Junior Spartans fundraiser baseball clinic held at Cheddar Field in Castle Dale.
The funds raised will be used to help the team pay for the cost of playing in the state 9 year old baseball tournament this summer.
With 71 in attendance, the clinic also gave Emery County youth a chance to learn from their State Champion Emery High Baseball players who donated their time to help teach the kids the fundamentals of the game.
The kids received a camp t-shirt, pizza (courtesy of Gordon’s Floral: The Garden Cafe,) and gatorade and had a great time. Event organizers said, “We would like to give a big thanks to everyone who helped make this a success and a great memory for these youth.”
The head coach of the team in charge of the camp is Steve Stoker, assistant coaches are Jordan Leonard and Bret Hansen.
