ORANGEVILLE – Mac A. Cox, age 71 passed away on May 14, 2015. He was born Aug. 18, 1943 in Huntington, Utah to Thomas Franklin and Anna Anderson Cox. He married Rose Marie Frank on Nov. 1, 1963 in Salt Lake City and they divorced. He later married Karen Kimber on Sept. 14, 1985 in Woods Cross, Utah and their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on Sept. 14, 1988.
Mac was raised in Huntington and graduated from North Emery High School. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held numerous callings. He lived in Huntington, Salt Lake City, Woods Cross, and retired in Orangeville. He worked as a carpenter and maintenance worker for Davis County School District. He enjoyed woodworking. He built his home in Orangeville with the help of his children.
He is survived by his wife Karen, his children Jennifer (Brad) Jenson of Bountiful, Stephanie (Brad) Timothy of Ferron, Brooke (Andy) Greenwood of North Salt Lake, Calvin (Sherry) Wheeler of Magna, Connie (Troy) Adams of Eagle Mountain, Carolyn Marsing of Magna, and Cody (Darcie) Wheeler of West Bountiful; siblings Soren Cox of Provo, AnnaBelle Kagie of Woods Cross, Joyce Cox of Richfield, Grace Lance of West Valley City, and Linda (Reese) Jewkes of Orangeville; 21 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister-in-law Fern Cox and brother-in-law Blaine Cox.
A viewing was held Monday, May 18, 2015 at Fausett Mortuary, 720 North Center Street, Castle Dale, Utah from 6 – 8 p.m. Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at the Orangeville 3rd Ward Chapel, 165 West 800 North, Castle Dale, Utah at 11 a.m. with a viewing from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. prior to the service. Interment in the Orangeville City Cemetery entrusted to the care of Fausett Mortuary. Friends and family may sign the guestbook and share memories of Mac at www.fausettmortuary.com.
