PRICE – Austin Gary Meeks age 23, passed away July 18, 2015 in Price, UT. He was born Oct 17, 1991 in Orem, UT to Gary D Meeks and Wendy (Watson) Meeks.
Austin was raised in Price, moved to Truckee, California and then back to Price. Austin was truly a unique individual, in fact he started his own business in Price called Unique Enterprises. Austin was a non-conformist and admired by many for this but that also made life a struggle for Austin. His hair was long and he sported a goatee and his signature fedora everywhere he went. He was highly intelligent and was very good with mechanical endeavors, computers, other electronics and outdoor living.
Austin often dreamed of living off the grid in a place like Alaska and he had the skills to do so. He had a love of animals and Jackson, his dog, was his wing man in life, who was with him until the very end. Austin loved tools and enjoyed using them-his favorite store-Harbor Freight.
Austin was kind hearted, respectful to all and much loved by all who knew him. He is survived by his parents Gary (Tracy) Meeks and Wendy Meeks (Brett Hatch); sister Makayla Meeks (Trevor Pogue); step brothers Skyler Hansen, Chet Hansen and Drew Hansen; grandparents, Dwayne & Jane Meeks, Sam & Clover Watson; his beloved dog Jackson; and many cousins and uncles/aunts.
Funeral Services will be Thursday July 23, 2015 at 11 am at the LDS 4th/5th ward church, 545 E. 400 N. in Price. The viewing will be the same day and same location from 9:30 -10:45 am. Interment will be in the Cliffview Cemetery in Price. Services are in the care of Fausett Mortuary.
