Sam and Alta Singleton will be celebrating their 60th Wedding Anniversary on Oct. 13, 2015. The two met in Denver, Colo. where Sam was stationed in the army and Alta was working. Alta then went on a mission to Argentina and Sam proposed through a letter. She came to Ferron after her mission and they were married soon after. They have lived in Ferron ever since. Sam and Alta are the parents of three sons, Morris (Celya,) Kyle (Kathy,) and Myron (Janet). They have 10 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
