Raymond Duane Hansen, age 70 of Price, Utah passed away peacefully surrounded by family after a long health battle. Ray was born in Price, Utah on Sept. 2, 1945 to parents Norma Reid Hansen Petrie and William (Bill) Hansen where he lived until graduating from Carbon College and joining the Army serving his country in Germany as an air traffic controller. After his time in the service, Ray moved back to Price where he met and married Nancy Adams (Allred) and together they had two children Tracy and Mike. They later divorced and he married Ann Keller with her son Jared. They later divorced and over the past several years Ray has been with his companion Renee Edwards.
Ray retired from Tram Electric in 2014 after 21 years. He loved his job and the people there. He was very dedicated to his work and his strong work ethic was well known by all. He enjoyed many fishing trips over the years especially fishing at Electric Lake. Special memories include family camping trips in Thousand Lake Mountains, special fishing trips with his brother Richard, deer hunting trips, watching boxing, and time at home relaxing with his beloved cats. Ray was well known for all of his funny nicknames for everyone he met, and in his last hours still referred to those names.
Ray was loved and respected by all and will be greatly missed.
Ray is survived by his mother, Norma Reid Hansen Petrie of Price, brother Richard Hansen of Riverton, daughter Tracy Coon (Travis) of Price, son Mike Hansen of Price, grandchildren Kassandra Hansen, Laythan Hansen, Tiffany Coon, Tennysen Coon all of Price, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father William (Bill) Hansen, brothers Robert Kay Hansen (Paulette) and Steven Reid Hansen, sister Ann Lee Hansen, grandparents Brian and Amber Reid and Will and Arvella Hansen and numerous relatives.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Oct. 23, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Fausett Mortuary in Price. A viewing will be held Thursday, Oct. 22, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. at Fausett Mortuary in Price. Interment will be in the Orangeville City Cemetery. Services are in the care of Fausett Mortuary family and friends may sign the guest book and share memories of Ray at www.fausettmortuary.com.
