CLEVELAND, UTAH – Leslie L. Mortensen 61 passed away Feb. 21, 2016. He was born July 21, 1954 to Andrew and Charlene White Mortensen. He married Suzanne Wild in Las Vegas Nevada on Oct. 19, 1985.
Les was raised in Cleveland Utah and graduated from Emery County High in 1972. He spent most of his life in Emery County. He lived in Ferron, Utah for 25 years where he raised his family, until returning to his family in Cleveland to care for his mother.
Les was a coal miner for 35 years, working in many of the mines in Carbon, Emery and Sevier counties. He loved camping, hunting and spending time with family and friends.
Survived by his wife Suzanne and mother Charlene, both of Cleveland, Utah, daughter Ashley Mortensen of Ferron, Utah, sister Cindy (Troy) George of Texas, brother-in-law Doug Shiew of Clawson, Utah, sisters-in-law Sharlene (John) Chiaretta and Carla Caldwell both of Ferron, Utah, brother-in-law, Donald (Star) Wild of Sunset, Utah and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his father Andrew, sister Jessie Shiew, nephew Jason Shiew, sister-in-law Mary Ann Caroll and brother-in-law Curtis Caldwell.
