The Sterling Scholar competition was held on March 10 at Carbon High School. The event was hosted by Grand County High. Students from the southeast region attended. Emery High had three winners and eight runner-up finishers.

Andrea Hofer from Carbon won the family and consumer science category. Jessica Mason from Emery was a runner-up.
Aniston Curtis from Emery won the drama and vocal performance category. Tatum Atwood from Carbon was a runner-up.
