The Emery High boys soccer season has started and the Spartans have and overall record of 3-2 and a region record of 1-2. The Spartans are hoping to repeat their success from last year and make it to the 2A Central playoffs.
In their first match of the year Emery lost to Manti 0-5 at Manti. Their second match of the year was at home vs. Richfield. Emery won 3-1. Another home match paired Emery against Juab. Emery won 2-1. Emery traveled to Grand for their fourth match of the year losing a close one 2-3. On Thursday, Emery faced Manti once again at home. This time the Spartans won the match 4-3. This is a key win for the Spartans. The Manti Templars were ranked number one in the preseason for the 2A central. The Spartans will play an away match today against South Sevier.
