In the last few weeks and couple of months I have been seeing piles of branches, logs, large trees either cut down totally or with their tops cut off. Just now, a huge round piece of the trunk of a big tree was being trucked down the street.
These sights make me sad, even scared. It is through these wonderful big trees that we get clean air and water. We do not appreciate this or the other things these trees do for us or have done and will no longer be able to do when cut down.
I hope to encourage people to plant new trees where they have cut down or even cut very much back. This will give us some more healthy environment as they grow over time. But we could have had more.
