Diane Thomas Ware, 88, of Orangeville died May 3, 2016 in Provo. She was born Nov. 22, 1927 in Lawrence to Luther and Ivy Jensen Thomas. She grew up in Lawrence, working on the family farm. She married Keith Nelson Ware on March 24, 1947. They were married for 69 years. Diane was a loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Diane graduated from North Emery High School and was a lifelong resident of Emery County. She was a member of the LDS Church and served in several callings in the local ward. She enjoyed being with her family, reading, crocheting, and watching Utah Jazz basketball. Diane made many dozens of afghans over the years, giving them to family and friends. She and her husband spent countless hours riding in and enjoying the local mountains and deserts. They also spent much time traveling the country on business trips before Keith retired in 1992. For many years their home-away-from-home was the Little America Hotel in Salt Lake City.
Diane is survived by her loving husband, Keith; children Stuart (Brenda) of Salt Lake City, Dennis (Tami) of Orangeville, and Jennifer (Jeffrey) Johnson of Orem; 12 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and sister Evelyn (RL) Benson. She was preceded in death by her parents; children, Douglas, Leslie, and Thomas; sisters Afton and Estella; and brothers, Max and Bud.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Orangeville LDS Chapel, with a viewing there one hour prior at 10 a.m. Burial in the Orangeville Cemetery under the direction of Fausett Mortuary.
