PRICE,UT/PORT ORCHARD,WA-Our loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Janice Erlene Shafer Whipple, age 78, passed away May 8, 2016 in Price, Utah after a brief illness. She was born March 3, 1938 in Moab, Utah to Earl and Esther Merz Shafer. Janice married Darwin Allred of Carbonville, Utah; they later divorced. Married Ron E. Whipple of South Dakota; he preceded her in death on March 5, 1974. A celebration of Janice’s life will be held Tuesday evening, May 10, 2016, at Mitchell Funeral Home (233 East Main Street) in Price where friends are welcome to share memories with the family from 7-8 p.m. Janice will be laid to rest next to her husband at the Sunset Lane Memorial Park in Port Orchard, Washington on Friday, May 13, 2016. Family will receive friends at the Rill Funeral Home in Port Orchard with a graveside service following at 1 p.m.
