Emery high art show at the museum

Maegan Wilberg Director of The Museum of the San Rafael held an Emery County High School Art Exhibit in their great hall April 14. This art exhibit was made of watercolors from the students in art teacher Michael Royall’s class.
Michael Royall teaches various forms of art at Emery County High School. He teaches ceramics, painting, photography, and basic art foundation. Each semester of his art classes he has from 22 to 28 students in each class.
The art on display around the museum room were of watercolor paintings from the watercolor assignment.
Michael Royall also had on display four pieces of his art, two collages and two acrylics.
Maegan Wilberg held a similar art show last year at the museum. Michael said that next year they plan to invite art students from Green River High School and from Carbon High School to exhibit their artwork.
This is a great way to let the art students display their art to their parents and neighbors.
Alyssa Garrett of Ferron stood under her watercolor painting of a white and red flower with green leaves. Alyssa displayed two watercolor paintings in this exhibit.
Another student Zachary Fauver was photographed standing by his watercolor painting of a large orange and yellow flower.
Jacie Huntington had on display a painting of several large pink flowers with red centers standing in a vase.
Cleo Holliday was seen standing under her watercolor painting of red flowers with white and black centers in a blue vase.

Maegan Wilberg and Michael Royall said that they felt putting the students art work on display gave the students an incentive to do their best work and showing off their talents to parents and the community.
