PRICE/ST. GEORGE – Grant C. Fausett died June 6, 2016 in St. George, Utah, at the age of 86. He was born April 6, 1930 in Price, Utah, to Roy and Elva Olsen Fausett.
Grant graduated from the College of Eastern Utah and the San Francisco College of Mortuary Science. He also attended BYU where he met and married his eternal companion, Betty Shaw, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on Oct. 6, 1953. He has seven children.
He owned and operated the Fausett Mortuary in Price and Castle Dale, Utah. He also served as President of the Utah Funeral Directors Association for a term. He enjoyed traveling through Europe working with The American Youth in concert. He has been a faithful member of the LDS church serving as a Bishop and in many other callings where he spread his abounding love with all those he met. He also was proud to serve two years in the United States Army at Fort Ord, California.
Grant served six LDS missions in various countries. During one mission, he served as Mission President at the Buenos Aires, Argentina North Mission. During another mission he served as Director of the Mexico City visitor center. He loved working in the temple and doing missionary work.
His hobbies included being with family and friends and learning various languages. He found great joy in teasing his grandchildren and teaching them how to say words in different languages. He dedicated his life to working hard and giving service to others.
Preceded in death by parents and sons, Gregory and Kevin. He is survived by his wife Betty; his children- Steve (Louise) Fausett; Betty (Garth) Guymon; Brad (Mindy) Fausett; Suzzie (Mark) Larsen; Char (Josh) Frame; and daughter-in-law Terri; 29 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 11, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Gordon Creek 1st Ward (175 N. 1280 W. Price Utah). A viewing will be held Friday, June 10 from 6-8 p.m. at Fausett Mortuary (680 E. 100 South, Price, Utah). A viewing will also be held prior to the funeral from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the Gordon Creek 1st Ward (175 N. 1280 W. Price, Utah). Interment will be in the Price City Cemetery.
