PRESTON,IDAHO/HUNTINGTON- Randall Cade Jones, 38, passed away at his home in Preston, Idaho on June 24, 2016.
He was born Dec. 23, 1977 in Provo, Utah, the long awaited first child of Randall Ernest and Barbra Ogden Jones.
Cade spent an idyllic childhood in Huntington with his “big herd” of friends. Together they enjoyed Jr. and Sr. Riding Club, hunting, fishing, getting into mischief and Scouts where Cade achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. Cade was very involved in the 4-H program and he even attended the National 4-H Congress. He was the Emery Chapter FFA President and won state proficiencies in Ag Mechanics and Soil and Water Conservation.
Cade was a 1996 graduate of Emery High School, College of Eastern Utah and Utah State University where he served as President of the Ag Tech Club and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Ag Systems Technology. Cade was a talented master mechanic of agricultural machinery.
Cade married Tiffany Snelgrove in May 2004 in the Manti Temple, later divorced. He married Edith Marilyn Munk Harris on June 18, 2010 in Preston, Idaho where they were presently residing.
Cade is survived by his wife, Marilyn Jones, Preston, Idaho; ch ildren, Elder Austyn Harris (serving in the Puebla South Mexico mission), Jakob Harris, Jessyka Harris and Jayson Harris, all of Preston, Idaho; his parents, Randall and Barbra, Huntington, Utah; sisters, Cassie (Daniel Thatcher) and Cierra Jones, all of Elmo; brother, Caleb Jones, Denver, Colo.; grandfather, Blake Jones, Price; in-laws, Allen and Danielle Munk, Lewiston, Idaho; three nieces and one nephew, Dani Jo, Deri Lee, Dazi Mae, Devlin Richard, all of Elmo; along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Preceded in death by his brother, Clynn K. Jones; grandparents, Wilda Jones, Ray and Bernice Ogden; sister-in-law, Mechele Jones and cousin, Elam Derk Jones.
Funeral service, Friday, July 1, 2016, 11 a.m., Huntington Stake Center. Family will receive friends at the church Friday morning from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Interment, Huntington City Cemetery.
