WILLARD – Vick Dean Sanderson, 71 returned home to his Father in Heaven, Tuesday, July 5, 2016. Vick was born in Dragerton, Utah a son of Leo and Ila Sanderson on Sept. 24, 1944.
He married his best friend and sweetheart Sandra Wendel on February 12, 1966 in Willard; their marriage was solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple on Feb. 12, 1971. This year they celebrated 50 wonderful years of marriage.
Vick valiantly served his country during the Vietnam War and retired from the Internal Revenue Service after 30 plus years of service.
Some of his hobbies included: spending time with his family, traveling, camping, hunting and wood working. He was a member of the Intermountain Therapy Animal Organization. Vick loved working with and training his therapy animals; he bred and raised Shiloh Shepard’s for several years.
Vick will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife Sandra Sanderson, two brothers: Leo R (Bonnie) Sanderson, Delery (Cathleen) Sanderson, six nieces and nephews and their families.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Willard 3rd Ward Chapel, 665 W. 7615 S., Willard, Utah. Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 10 to 10:40 a.m. at the Church. Interment will be in the Willard Cemetery with Military Honors Accorded by the Combined Veterans from Box Elder County.
