On July 17 at approximately 10 p.m.deputies from the Emery County Sheriff’s Office responded to an incident in the subdivision in Orangeville.
The subject was inside the home and other family members were apparently hiding behind a neighbor’s house.
Emery County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the scene to try to negotiate with the subject.
The Orangeville fire department responded to the scene to block off both entrances into the subdivision.
Medical was on standby at the fire station.
Deputies reported they had located the subject through a window in a chair. The deputies then called for medical assistance and the ambulance responded.
The subject was taken to the Huntington airport by ambulance where Guardian Air had responded to the airport.
The subject was transported by ground ambulance to Castleview Hospital.
The medical condition of the subject is unknown at this time he was later taken to a hospital up north.
He is being kept under surveillance by the Emery County Sheriff’s Office.
A female was found deceased at the residence.
Her body has been sent to the medical examiners office where an autopsy will determine the cause of death.
Autopsy results will be available on Tuesday.
The entire incident is under investigation and there isn’t much information available at the current time.
The County Attorney’s office is not releasing the names of those involved at the current time.
