ORANGEVILLE, Utah – Kristi Lee Price Maxwell passed away unexpectedly at her home on July 17, 2016, and a brilliantly shining piece of the world passed with her, but will be forever etched in our memories.
She was born April 21, 1969, in Arroyo Grande, CA., to Donald Lee and Janice Annette Nance Price. Kristi always shined, regardless of how dark the circumstances or world around her may be. She was brilliant with her smile, her sometimes shockingly good humor and infectious laugh and, most importantly, the love she supplied in abundance to every life she ever touched. Her hugs could warm the coldest of dark nights and despite the storm brewing, she could always convince you that the sunrise was yet to come.
Always true to herself, her greatest joy was in her three children. She loved unconditionally, she gave fully and she worked passionately. A friend to all, she cheered, mothered and supported family, friends and strangers in full measure. She saw no lost causes in anyone she ever met. For Kristi, life was to be lived and she cherished every moment of it. She loved nature, especially her rose beds, hummingbirds and her fur-legged “fur baby” Dachshounds .
Late nights of drinking coffee with her children and laughing about everything and nothing are memories that will last a lifetime and beyond. She was magical in her ability to convince you that despite everything to the contrary, life would be grand, and her hugs would convince you it was so.
Survived by her husband, Richard Maxwell, Orangeville; children, Heidi (Austin) Young, Price, Adam (Aubrey) Kofoed, Casper, WY, Jessica Kofoed, Price, Mandy Maxwell, Orangeville; parents, Donald Lee and Janice (Nance) Price, Stillwell, OK; her siblings, Karen (Joe) Ward, Price, Colleen (James) Davis, Spanish Fork, UT., Steven (Bonnie) Price, Idaho Falls, ID; three grandchildren; and, of course, her “fur-babies.”
Preceded in death by her grandparents, Victor and Alice (Jones) Price and Juanita (Sullivan) Nance.
Funeral services were held Friday, July 22, 2016, 1 p.m., at the Orangeville Third LDS Ward (165 West 800 North) in Castle Dale. Family received friends at the church Friday one hour prior to service and at Mitchell Funeral Home (233 East Main Street) in Price Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. Interment, Orangeville City Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories of Kristi online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
A shining and brilliant piece of the world is beyond our sight, but not diminished, only hidden by the horizon, to be enjoyed in full measure in time. “We love you Mom.”
