Are you ready for some football; the Emery Spartan team in the black jerseys whipped up on those in white jerseys by a score of 21-7.
Their first game is Friday against Summit Academy in Bluffdale at 7 p.m.
The following week they play in Payson.
Their home opener will be on Sept. 2 when the Delta Rabbits come to town.
This is Coach Jon Faimalo’s first year as the head coach of the Spartans. He has been an assistant the past few seasons.
He replaces Coach Jim Jones who has retired.
