Desertview Federal Credit Union provided the Emery County Sheriff’s Office, the Carbon County Sheriff’s Office and the Utah Highway Patrol with an early Christmas present.
Each agency received a check for $1,000. Sheriff Greg Funk said the money will be used for next year’s Shop-With-A-Cop program. The Shop-With-A-Cop program relies upon donations and it will be a big boost for next year’s Christmas.
Desertview collected monetary donations, car seats, gift cards and other items.
Sheriff Funk said the gift cards will be given to the deputies to hand out to the public as good will gestures. The car seats will be distributed to those who need them.
Sheriff Funk and Sheriff Jeff Wood thanked Deserview and all of those who donated so generously.
