Cup of Joe’s coffee shop is now open for business in Orangeville. They are serving coffee, hot chocolate and specialty drink items.
They offer smoothies, breakfast burritos and muffins. Owners are Doug and Camie Stilson. The coffee shop is located in the front of their home. Turn right at the junction in Orangeville and it’s the second house on the right at 410 North Main Street.
You will see the sign out front. The business is open every day Monday-Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday from 8-5 p.m. The Stilsons invite you to come and check it out. The Emery County Business chamber hosted a ribbon cutting Friday at the new store.
Doug said they’ve been thinking about putting in the coffee shop for about a year and a half now. There are a lot of climbers that come to the Joe’s Valley area and they are hoping to give them a place to rest, get a cup of coffee and use the internet. They have divided off a portion of their home to create the coffee shop and it’s a starting point and they will see what develops from there. Just the morning of the ribbon cutting, a group of climbers from Georgia visited the business. Their products look and taste good and are reasonably priced. They are hoping to be a permanent part of the community and welcome all visitors, friends and family to come and stop by. In addition to all types of coffee products they have hot chocolate, speciality drinks and smoothies. They have a small selection of food items including breakfast burritos, danish, croissants, muffins, breakfast bars. They also offer sparkling waters.
For now their only employee is Shaylee Allred, their daughter.
Camie said, “We really hope people feel welcome and comfortable here. They can come in and sit down and enjoy their coffee. We have free Wi-fi.”
Doug said they are also paying tribute in their business to those who serve and protect our county and nation. They offer a 10 percent discount to teachers, fire department members and EMTs and police officers.”
Prices start at $1 for small drinks and simple drip coffees; espresso and lattes range from $2-$3.50 depending on the size. Smoothies are $3.50. There are blended drinks, speciality drinks and they are trying to keep everything reasonably priced so everyone can come in and be welcome. The business accepts credit cards. Their phone number is 435-748-2715.
