Dale Fillmore

LAWRENCE -Dale A. Fillmore, 68, passed away unexpectedly May 13, 2017 at Utah Valley Medical Center with family at his side.
He was born April 22, 1949 in Price, Utah the son of James Norman and Reva Allen Fillmore. Dale grew up in Lawrence, on the family farm and was the oldest of six. He graduated from Emery High School and Utah State University. On March 22, 1969, he married Angelia (Angie) White in Cleveland, Utah.
Dale had a lifelong passion for machinery and equipment and could resurrect a “basket case” machine to run again or revamp a new unit to optimum running condition. He worked as a Service Technician for Ag. Dealerships in Utah and Idaho; Product Specialist up through Regional Sales Manager for Sandvik Tamrock (EIMCO Jarvis-Clark) International Mining Equipment. He traveled much, had many colleagues throughout the world, but his heart was always home with his family and providing a good living for them was always his main focus.
In 1998 he established his own machining/manufacturing business, E.A.O. Services, Inc. in Lawrence and was utterly dedicated to it. He made one last road trip for the company shortly before his passing. He spent much energy exploring ways to expand and improve his company and develop customer relationships. He found the internet an amazing tool and a brilliant source of information, which he was continually seeking. In addition to his mechanical and manufacturing skills he believed in “fair play” for all involved when negotiating and he wanted nothing more than to do good things and contribute his time and resources wherever needed. Dale was kind, generous, ethical, and willing to help anyone learn and grow. Often funny and always surprising, Dale had a myriad of interests and explored them all with curiosity and enthusiasm.
Dale is survived by his wife of 48 years, Angelia White Fillmore, sons, Evan W. (Kathryn Etzel) and Owen J. (Shelli Taylor); granddaughters, Jordyn Lee and Emma Jean Fillmore, all of Huntington; adopted grandchildren, Erika, Elisabeth and Zackery Ahlheim, Price, K.J. Erickson (Michelle Hurtado), East Carbon; three brothers and one sister.
Dale was preceded in death by his son, Andrew D. Fillmore, his parents and one brother.
Visitation Thursday, May 18, 2017, from 6-8 p.m. at the E.A.O. Services building (3315 South 1200 East-(Lawrence Road). Graveside service, Friday, May 19, 2017, 11 a.m., Cleveland Town Cemetery.
