Miss Emery, Miss Outstanding teen on July 8

The Miss Emery and Miss Emery County’s Outstanding Teen pageant will be held Saturday, July 8 at 6 p.m. at the Emery High auditorium. Tickets can be purchased from any of the contestants or you can pay at the door. Maegan Butterfield and the newly crowned Miss Utah JessiKate Riley will be this year’s emcees.
There are four contestants vying for the title of Miss Emery. The new Miss Emery will prepare all year to attend the Miss Utah Scholarship Pageant which is held in June each year. Miss Emery Contestants include:
Laci Hulse is a recent Emery High graduate. She is from Ferron. She will sing for her talent. Her platform title is Heart of a Lion.
Michaela Wolford is a recent graduate from Emery High School. She is the daughter of Ben and Sarah Wolford. She will be performing a musical theatre act. In the fall she will be attending Utah State University.
Aniston Curtis is a graduate of Emery High school. She is the daughter of Jerod and Elise Curtis from Huntington. She will be singing for her talent. She recently completed her first year at Southern Utah University and she will return to school in the fall.
Collette McElprang is a graduate of Emery High School. She is the daughter of Leon and Stacy McElprang from Huntington. She will be dancing for her talent. In the fall she will be attending USU Eastern.
Miss Outstanding Teen Pageant contestants include: Madison Draper, she attends Emery High School and will be a Junior next year. She is thedaughter of Kip and Cindy Draper of Orangeville. She will be dancing for her talent. Her platform is “The Thin Blue Line — Serving families of fallen officers”
Brooklyn Potter, attends Emery High School and will be a Junior next year. She is the daughter of Tom and Kristan Potter of Huntington. She will be singing for her talent. Tylee Jensen, attends San Rafael Middle School. She is the daughter of Steven and Sierra Jensen of Ferron. She will be singing for her talent.
Maryn Allred, will be attending Emery High School. She is the daughter of Becky and Jed Allred of Ferron, Utah. She will be playing the piano for her talent. Agricultural Awareness/Kiss a Farmer is her platform.
