Fundraiser golf tournament for Kina Jewkes

The Emery County Sheriff’s Office, Emery County Search and Rescue along with the Emery County Progress teamed up to host a fundraiser golf tournament for Kina Jewkes.
She is the daughter of Greg and Jen Jewkes. She has suffered from liver disease and recently had a liver transplant.Monthly bills for medication are $1,000.
The community came out in great support of this event. Businesses donated prizes for the raffle, put teams in the golf tournament and sponsored golf holes.
Huntington Parts City had a hole in one contest where a hole in one shot on hole 13 would have won the recipient a new enclosed trailer and a lawn mower.
After the tournament The Fire Pit restaurant at the golf course fixed lunch.
There were a number of special golf contests at the event.
Emery County Sheriff Greg Funk thanked everyone for their help. Search and rescue members sold raffle tickets. The group effort raised $8,000 for the Jewkes family.
