Emery Town honored citizens

Wayne and Carrie Lou Gremel have been chosen as the Emery/Moore honored citizens.

Wayne and Carrie Lou Gremel have been chosen as this years” Honored Citizens” and will lead the Pioneer Day Parade to be held July 22 at 10 am.
Wayne and Carrie Lou have been residents of Moore and Emery since January 1970. Wayne had began working tor Glendon Johnson in 1967. Glendon had purchased the old Sorensen Ranch and Wayne was asked to move to Moore and work as Ranch Foreman.
He served in this capacity from 1970 until 2002. Carrie Lou began working at the Emery Consol Mine in 1978 as the Management Assistant and continued there for 17 years. She was also involved in helping Wayne in various capacities on the ranch.
They are the proud parents of two sons, Cody who lives in the Glenwood Springs area in Colorado. Clay who resides in Elko Nevada, Each own their own businesses and are very successful. Cody and Clay were raised in Moore, Emery and spent time at the Baker Ranch, in their youth.
Wayne and Carrie Lou have been active in the community serving on various boards and each alao served as town council members. We Thank them for their service to the town of Emery.
