Tony Bradley, a player for the Utah Jazz made a stop in Emery County on Aug. 1. Everyone was invited to attend, to learn some basketball skills, get an autograph and have their picture taken with him.
The junior Jazz players were divided into four teams and competed in basketball skills relays. After the relays, Bradley showed off his shooting skills by shooting a free throw, three point shot and a half court shot. After shooting the basketball Bradley delighted the junior Jazz players with two slam dunks.
After the basketball skills session Bradley signed autographs and had his picture taken with the many children in attendance.
Bradley is one of the newest players for the Utah Jazz. He played in the Summer League with the team in Las Vegas and scored an average of 10.6 points and 6.6 rebounds and two blocks per game in summer league.
Bradley is 6’11” and 240 pounds. He will play power forward and center for the Jazz. He was selected in the first round of the 2017 draft and was the 28th pick. Bradley is from Bartow, Fla. and played college ball at the University of North Carolina. He won a national championship with the University of North Carolina in 2017. He was the McDonalds All American player in 2016. He was named Mr. Basketball the best player in the state of Florida in 2016. He was the gatorade player of the year in 2016. He is the only player in history to record 150 or more rebounds in one season at UNC.
