The Emery County Commissioners hosted their annual meeting in Green River Aug. 22. Commissioner Lynn Sitterud reported in the commissioner comments that the forest service has cancelled the order to close Nuck Woodward road after Labor Day. Commissioner Sitterud said he hoped that Emery County played a role in keeping the road open. Hopefully he said the issue is behind them and for now at least the road will remain open. The road is mostly in Emery County but extends into Carbon County and is an alternate route for residents of Clear Creek who use the route in case of an emergency should the other route become blocked.
