Green River hosted their annual Melon Days celebration with a variety of activities. The events kicked off last weekend with Melon Day Queen and Princess pageants. This week saw a community celebration, square dancing, softball, parade, entertainment, carnival and games as well as vendors at the park.
The free watermelon in the park was a great attraction as the three melon growers, Dunham, Thayn and Vetere cut watermelon all day long for the many visitors.
