GREEN RIVER-Our wonderful mother, Rose Louise Zaccaria Lemieux, 88, passed away Dec. 9, 2017 at HopeWest in Grand Junction, Colo.
She was one of 13 children born to Stefano and Concetta Farlaino Zaccaria in Price, Utah on April 28, 1929.
Rose’s life revolved around family and just like her mother there was no greater honor than cooking and caring for loved ones. She was a very colorful person who made a lasting impression on everyone she met. While living in the area she owned and operated several Café’s. In Price, she owned and operated the Crete Café, in Thompson, Utah the Silver Grill and when the family moved to Green River in 1974 she proudly served generations of families, tourists, truck drivers at the Lemieux Café. Rose loved serving others, whether it was a warm meal or an enjoyable visit, you always felt better after your departure. Rose loved everyone and she will be sorely missed by family and a community of friends.
Rose is survived by her children, Karry (Manuel) Aguilera, Portland, Ore., Diana Sue (Stephen) Bullard, Nephi, Paula (Leon) Mace, Roby, Mo., Jackie Mylroie, Grand Junction, Phillip (Dawna) Dinkins, Green River, Willie Dinkins, Green River, Lydia Myers and Joe White, Clifton, Colo., Tony (Christy) Lemieux, Green River, Jerry Lemieux and Debbie Beason, Searcy, Ariz.; daughter-in-law, Vicki Dinkins, Orem; sister, Ann May, Brewster, N.Y.; brother, Jake (Ronnie) Zaccaria, Bakersfield, Calif; 28 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.
Rose was preceded in death by her parents, son, Stephen Dinkins; granddaughter, Krystalyn Dinkins; great-grandchildren, Tristan Aguilera and Kyler Alan Myers; five brothers and five sisters.
Funeral Mass, Friday, Dec. 15, 2017, 10 a.m., Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church (210 North Carbon Ave) in Price. Vigil service, Thursday evening 5 p.m. Mitchell Funeral Home (233 East Main Street) in Price. Family will receive friends at Mitchell’s both days one hour prior to services. Committal service, Cliffview Cemetery, Price. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories of Rose online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
