On a quarterly basis Orangeville mayor Roger Swenson presents the mayor’s award. This award goes to students at Cottonwood Elementary who display good citizenship and helpful behavior. These students are kind to others and an asset to their school. This quarter Tyler Barnum is being honored. He is the seven year old son of Dustin and Katie Barnum.
He loves anything to do with farming and loves to help his grandpa Hansen at the farm any chance he gets. He also likes to ride motorcycles, bikes, rollerblades and anything with wheels. He is involved in karate and likes to play football, basketball, baseball and soccer. He has two younger brothers that like to play with him. His favorite colors are red, blue, green and yellow. His favorite food is homemade chicken noodle soup. His favorite place to go is to the farm. Tyler is a worker. He can often be found cleaning up leaves or dirt in the gutters, helping his mom with chores or helping his dad fix or build something in the drive way. Dad and mom are very proud of his hard work and dedication to anything he is involved in. “Congratulations Tyler.” said the Mayor.
