USU Extension receives grants

USU Extension has a grant that will be starting in January for Caregivers of Alzheimer or dementia patients.
The study is online and takes approximately six weeks, doing two classes each week. We are studying caregivers not the patient with dementia or Alzheimer. At the end of the study, the person will receive $50 for their participation. It is not hard but is an study of their feelings etc. For more information or to sign up, please contact Christine Jensen at the USU Extension Office, 381-3539.
The other grant the extension office has is called Culture of Health.
We are forming a coalition to look at the community issues and what we can do about it.
It is a Robert Wood Johnson grant through the 4-H program. It will consist of youth and adults in cooperation. Currently I am hiring a coordinator for the program. For more information on the coordinator position go to:  http://jobs.usu.edu/  and look for the job listing for a Culture of Health coordinator – Emery County or call Christine Jensen at 381-3539.
