DWR fishing information
Ice fishermen are trying the waters at Huntington North. There are spots with open water and the ice is unstable. Fishermen are making use of the solid ice around the shore lines.
The Southeastern Region fishing report was compiled by Morgan Jacobsen. Boulger Reservoir-Fair Boulger Reservoir and several other waters on the Manti skyline now have stable ice. Try using tube jigs tipped with mealworms for catching trout.
Cleveland Reservoir-Fair. Cleveland Reservoir now has stable ice. Try using tube jigs tipped with mealworms for catching trout here. Duck Fork Reservoir-Closed. Access to Duck Fork Reservoir and others on the South Manti may be limited due to snow, ice and mud.
Electric Lake-Good. Anglers are catching tiger trout through the ice near the boat ramp at Electric Lake. The fishing has been best before noon using tube jigs. Use caution as there may still be open water in some parts of the lake. Fairview Lakes-Closed Fairview Lakes and others on the Manti skyline may be inaccessible with highway vehicles.
Ferron Reservoir- Closed. Ferron Reservoir and others on the South Manti may be inaccessible with highway vehicles.
Gigliotti Pond-Fair. Gigliotti Pond has had ice for several weeks, but ice thickness may vary due to recent warm temperatures in Carbon County. Use caution when fishing here.
Gooseberry Reservoir-Unstable ice. Gooseberry Reservoir may be inaccessible with highway vehicles. Grassy Lake-Closed. Grassy Lake and other waters on the South Manti are currently inaccessible to highway vehicles.
Huntington North Reservoir-Unstable ice. Huntington North Reservoir still has some areas of open water. Use caution when ice fishing here.
Huntington Reservoir-Good. Anglers have had success catching tiger trout through the ice at Huntington Reservoir. Try using a white tube jig tipped with mealworm.
Joes Valley Reservoir-Fair. Joes Valley Reservoir still has little to no ice. Try fishing on the rocky shorelines with spinners or Rapalas for catching trout and tiger muskies.
Lower Fish Creek-Good. Anglers have had good success catching trout and chubs using green soft hackle flies and panther martin spinners.
Miller Flat Reservoir- Fair. Miller Flat Reservoir may be accessible in a four-wheel drive vehicle. Try using tube jigs tipped with mealworms for catching trout here.
Petes Hole-Unstable ice. Petes Hole and other waters on the South Manti are covered with unstable ice and possibly inaccessible to highway vehicles.
Potters Ponds-Unstable ice. Potters Ponds and other waters on the Manti skyline are covered with unstable ice and possibly inaccessible to highway vehicles.
Price River-Slow. Much of the Price River through Price Canyon has frozen over, making fishing impossible in many areas.
Right Fork of Huntington Creek-Fair. Many parts of Huntington Creek are frozen over, so fishing may be difficult, depending on where you go.
Scofield Reservoir-Good. Anglers have been ice fishing mostly near the dam cove where the ice is now approaching 10 inches thick. They’ve had success catching rainbow and cutthroat trout using white jigs tipped with chub meat. Using a green glow ice fly tipped with a wax worm has also worked well.
Soup Bowl-Closed. Soup Bowl and other waters on the South Manti may be inaccessible with highway vehicles.
Willow Lake-Closed. Willow Lake and other waters on the South Manti may be inaccessible with highway vehicles.
Wrigley Springs Reservoir-Closed. Wrigley Springs Reservoir and other waters on the South Manti may be inaccessible with highway vehicles.
