(Salt Lake City) Following today’s release of the Report to the President of the United States from the Task Force on Agriculture and Rural Prosperity at the American Farm Bureau Federation Convention in Nashville, the Utah Commissioner of Agriculture and Food issued the following statement:
“I am heartened by the United States Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) support for rural America. I applaud the renewed focus on agriculture and am especially pleased with the importance that the report places on economic development and innovation in strengthening our rural communities. This report is a positive step forward for rural Utahns. I look forward to working with USDA and our many partners in Utah and Washington D.C. to implement the recommendations of this report for the benefit of all Utahns.”
