HUNTINGTON – Ross Gordon passed away Jan. 9, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Cause incident to age. He was born Jan. 10, 1929 to Vaughn and Elizabeth Gordon in Kenilworth, Utah.
He married Reva Stokes on June 10, 1948 in Cleveland, Utah. Later solemnized in the Manti Temple. He grew up in the mining camps in the Carbon Utah area. He spent summers on his Grandpa and Grandma Staker’s farm where he developed a love of horses and animals.
He attended schools in Hiner, Huntington, and graduated from North Emery High. He joined the Marines and served our country. He worked as a carpenter in the US Fuel Mine, as a car salesman, and owned and operated Jack’s Motor Service.
He was a hard worker and a man of many talents: gifted wood worker, skilled in lapidary work, horseman, started the Jr. Riding Club in Huntington, musician, city government, repairman, loved hunting, fishing and trapping, farmer, golfer, world traveler.
He was a Jack of all trades and a master of many. He was one of the 10 original founders of the Castle Valley Credit Union.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he serves in many callings.
He and Reva were members of the JJ Club where they made lifelong friends and attended many activities.
He is survived by his wife Reva, Huntington, children Dennis Ross (Peggy), Huntington, Don V. (Paula), Huntington, Charlene Bell (Rue), Orangeville, Brenda Lemon (Hallie) Ferron.
Preceded in death by two sons Mark J. and LaMont Gordon, parents and sister Joyce Larsen.

A viewing will be held Friday, Jan. 12, 2018 at the Huntington Stake Center on Main Street from 6–9 p.m. A graveside will be held Saturday, Jan. 13, 2018 at 2 p.m. at the Huntington City Cemetery entrusted to Fausett Mortuary.
