Alan White from Castle Dale, received a Distinguished Service Award from the Utah High School Activities Association for Utah High School Male Sports Official of the Year.
The award was presented by Bruce Bean, Carbon High School principal, who said, “When I was coaching basketball and saw Al White on the floor, I knew the game would be officiated fairly.”
Al has been officiating for more than 30 years.
He was nominated by a local High School Coach.
This award honors outstanding contributors to Utah high school activities and brings together Utah’s finest educators, officials and contributors at the high school level.
Al White was honored at an awards luncheon at the Sleepy Ridge Golf Course along with other distinguished service award recipients including coaches and teachers of the year.
