(One Person CAN Make a Difference) Glen Webb Heaton, 88, passed away Jan. 17, 2018. He was born Nov. 1, 1929 to Joseph Linden Heaton and Phyllis Lavina Webb. Glen attended Hurricane High School and was a member of their state champion football team. He married the love of his life, Arla LaVonne Cox, in the St. George Temple on Dec. 14, 1949. Glen lived in Salt Lake most of his married life, working as a milkman for many years. He also had a ranch in Elmo, Utah, where he worked at the Deer Creek Mine. He shared his passion for nature with his family and friends and could name every plant and rock formation wherever he went, along with all the birds and constellations.
He was a man of integrity who held his values high and made many friends and loved to tell stories and jokes. He was a High Priest in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in many callings. He loved the Gospel and read The Book of Mormon daily. Family was his life. He thrived whenever they came to visit.
Glen is survived by four siblings; his children, Janine (Peter) Leyer, Lillian (Ray) Woolston, and “Roy” (Tracy) Heaton; nine grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Arla; three children; parents; and four siblings.
Funeral Services: Friday, Jan. 26, 2018, at 11 a.m., Murray 23rd Ward, 755 E. Three Fountains Circle, Murray, Utah. The family will receive friends at a viewing Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Funeral Home, 4760 S. State St., Murray, Utah and one hour prior to service on Friday at the Ward.
