Lainee Jensen

Emery Girls golf improved by 28 strokes in one week and are solidly in second place in region after graduating five golfers from the state championship team last season.
This years team so far consists of one senior Lainee Jensen, who was an all state selection last year.  Two junior golfers who were junior varsity last year but are improving and setting the foundation for this years team, Kayla Winn and Raegan Sitterud.
They are joined by three competitive freshmen who are contributing great scores in their first two matches, Sydney Alton, Angie Nielsen, and Macie Nielson.  Team scores are the lowest four scores added together, the lower the better.  A team consists of the top six qualifiers.  We have 15 girls participating and battling for those 6 spots.
First weeks team score was 246, this week we shot 218.
“These girls are working hard, very coachable and improving daily,” said Coach Tom Hansen.
