Green River opens its first bike and hike trail

Mayor Pat Brady from Green River City said the trail was a long time in coming. The location was moved from Tusher to its present location. This will be the first of many hiking and mountain bike trails which will surround Green River.
The next trail being looked at will connect the town to the Athena Trail. The Athena Trail was named for the rockets launched from the Green River missile base in the 1960s-70s.
The ribbon was cut to officially open the trail and participants headed out on the trail and those bringing bikes rode out on the loop.
Mayor Brady thanked all of those involved in making the trail a reality.
