GALLERY: Emery County Democrats host county convention

Tim Glenn the Democratic party chairman for Emery County led the county convention. Delegates were elected to attend the state convention on April 28 at the Salt Palace Convention Center.
Several will attend to represent Emery County at the convention.
Jenny Wilson was not able to attend the convention but her representative said she is the only candidate who can beat Mitt Romney in the fall. He asked for support for her at the state convention.
Independent candidate for Emery County Attorney David Blackwell spoke to the convention. He said he was the county attorney for 21 years and the county was well represented without any major issues.
Independent candidate for Emery County Sheriff John Barnett spoke at the convention. He outlined his experience in law enforcement and his training which he will pass along to the deputies at the sheriff’s office. He has been at the sheriff’s office for 21 years.
