A Carbon County woman ran from a traffic stop in Carbon County. She originally stopped her vehicle, but as the Utah Highway Patrol approached her vehicle she took off. Her tires were spiked at Dick Allen Hill between Castle Dale and Huntington and she continued onto Wilberg Wash where she was apprehended.
She was taken by the Utah Highway Patrol back to Carbon County because that is where the chase originated.
It isn’t known why she ran from the officers. The chase took place at approximately 3 p.m. Emery County Sheriff Greg Funk said they were glad the chase ended without anyone being injured. It’s unknown if drugs were involved at this time. The subject might be suffering from possible mental health issues.
