Rose Mangum Ungerman

HUNTINGTON- Rose Mary Udell Mangum Ungerman, 83, passed to eternal life at 4:45 a.m. April 29, 2018 in Ephraim, Utah at the home of her daughter Debbie Wilde.
Rose was born Jan.2, 1935 in Huntington, Utah to John Darwin and Leola Grange Mangum. She was one of 14 children, four of whom were half siblings. Rose was so grateful to have such a close knit loving family. She graduated from North Emery High School where she was a cheerleader. She married a handsome friend of her brother Jerry, (Dale Ungerman) who was on leave from the Navy, having served in the Korean War. Rose and Dale married Aug. 1, 1953 in Huntington; their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple. They lived their whole lives together in Huntington to be close to family except for short stints in San Diego, San Francisco and Moab. Rose worked for 30 years as secretary at Huntington Elementary and as an EMT for Emery County. She served in various relief society presidencies and was so concerned with others. She was associated with the J & J Club and with other community service organizations. Rose and Dale were temple workers in Manti Temple for two years.
She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Dale Ungerman; one daughter and four sons: Debbie (Bart) Wilde, Brent, Garth (Terri), Gordon (Sabrina), and RyDel (Cory) Ungerman; 18 grandchildren, 38 ½ great grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; three sisters and two brothers, Carol (Bob) Norton, Monty (Marcia) Mangum, Donald (Doris) Mangum, Mamie Noyes, and Marjorie Tomsic.
Preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Clark, Jerry and James; sister, Jean Killpack; and grandchildren, Amelia Wilde and Joesy Ungerman.
Funeral service, Wednesday, May 2, 2018, 1 p.m., Huntington LDS Stake Center. Family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday from 11:30-12:30 at the Stake Center in Huntington. Interment, Huntington City Cemetery.
